而是要用Cancel (v.)、 Call off (v.) 或是Suspend (v.)
當你媽問你: Why didn't you go to school today?
你可以回: School and work are suspended because of the typhoon.
Cancel (v.) 取消
Call off (v.) 取消
Suspend (v.) 暫停
My driver's licence was temporarily suspended.
我的駕照暫時被吊銷了。(駕照也可為driving licence, driver licence)
額外補充:
The flight scheduled to take off this morning was cancelled due to the typhoon.
